Recounting our Trip in our own words. We have been learning to use sequence words and different verbs in our sentences to make our writing interesting to read.

 Howick Historical Village

On the 4th of August my class and Room 13 went to the Howick Historical village.

When we got there I saw old houses and two ladies dressed in old outfits from the olden days. Once we put our bags away then we went with one of the ladies to a big house full of old stuff then she got us to sit down in a circle and she showed us a game called find the ring game.

We were happy because we went to learn about toys. Then we had lunch and went back to school.

Howick  Historical village . 

On Tuesday the 4th of August, Room 11 and 13 went to Howick Historical Village. When we all got there we had morning tea.

Then we did parlour games. This was one of the ring games.

After we went to the school we all got to use slate boards. After we went into a big house and that house was the one with all the parlour games and when we went in and sat on the mat. I was surprised because she pulled out things that I was not expecting. Those iron things that she pulled out she had to have three because when her daughter gets married she would need one.
