Little Gardens League - shhh! It isn't public until Monday!

Room 11 has joined the Little Garden's League and taken the oath to teach others to grow, protect and TASTE vegetables!

Everyone has applied to join the league by filling in the application form and posting it into the special letter box!

On Wednesday we had a special code posted to us and we had to decipher a message from Carla Carrot. The next clue will be delivered on Monday!

Today we will choose our seedlings and learn how to care for them.

Thursday Room 11 Learning Showcase

Thankful Thursday - what are you thankful for today?

Ata Marie Room 11! Please comment on the blog below. The riddle answer from yesterday is NAME. Lots of people have dojos well done! The riddle for today is what has a neck but no head? The Meet today is at 1:30pm. The code was emailed earlier in the week. Please bring and be ready to share your favourite book. Did you guess what Mrs Trembath was showing you on the other video? Please keep sharing your work from the slides in your Inquiry folder. I am waiting for a small group of you - what have you been up to this week???? Take a look at Mrs Daniel's Blog http://shsenvironmental.blogspot.com/ Can you see how Emma has continued the learning with tea that you did in your Enviro sessions in that couple of weeks at school? Also Charlie and Theo have been doing our weeding! What have you been able to do to look after our environment this week? It is Conservation Week next week in New Zealand and we will have an activity in our Week 6 slides to celebrate this.

Have a go and challenge yourself! What has been happening in R11 during this last fortnight?

Swimming with the whole Kowhai Carnival!

Our Oceans Inquiry wall starts to take shape! Can you see which creatures we THINK live in each layer of the ocean? We are going to be doing some research about this soon. Right now we are exploring and starting to make meaning and connections.

To help us get thinking and explore the Oceans, Riley from Young Ocean Explorers gave a talk about her role in filming and sharing our unique New Zealand sea life right outside our city in the Hauraki Gulf!

Mrs Harding has been teaching us Te Reo and we have been practicing our vowels sounds, greetings and recapping knowledge from last year.

Evelyn was our CEO today which we all take turns at being and did a great job of taking the roll for Mrs Trembath.

Maths games and place value games to 1000 are keeping us busy in our Number work. Here Jayden is so excited to win his 3 digit dice game where you move 3 dice around to make numbers fit before or after each other.

Worm Bin Monitors In R11.

Look at these fantastic Worm Bin monitors! After lunch they empty the bins from Koru, Kowhai and Kauri areas to top up the school worm farm. We know that there hasn't been a lot of rain so we are topping up the farm with water and card to keep moisture in.
Don't worry we drink our water first and then refill the drink bottles and even use the garden hose!
