Playing with basic facts - how fast can you recognise number patterns - ALGEBRA! 
How do you know that is the number you see? 


Using arrays to count groups of animals.
creating rows and columns to count an array
Learning to move from skip counting to writing multiplication factors.
So instead of 5, 10, 15 
3 groups of 5 is 15
3 x 5 = 15
