Captain Trembath Meets a Great White Shark! What will you get up to today me hearties?!
My film crew were not very co operative today but I had a go at making a skit for the Drama activity on the Distance Learning slides. It took an hour but came to 16 seconds!! I was in the Learning Pit but persevered and it's not too bad. I hope you are persevering and getting 2 things done from the slides today. I would like to see all of R11 making the hat to wear at the Meets next week please!
Make the screen bigger by clicking on the little arrow in the top right hand corner - excuse my terrible editing skills - deadline was looming!Wednesday, 29 April 2020

Tuesday 21st Mrs Trembath's message for the day - where am I?
Morning to you all! Everyday I try and go for a walk. I like to walk here because on the other side of the water live my Mum and Dad. I like to think about what they are up to in their bubble and sometimes we talk to each other on the phone and I can see what they are having for breakfast!

Monday's sharing of cuddly friends and finished pieces of learning from R11.
Keep sharing any pictures of your cuddly friends - they are gorgeous! You are so lucky!
Also the musicians and song writers! Keep being creative people.
Open up this slide deck to play William's experiment video which is Mum emailed to me.

William the Scientist!
Woo hoo William! That's exciting - it can be tricky to get the mentos in the bottle but you did a great job! So, do you know why the mentos and coke react like that? Imagine what it would be like in your stomach if you drank coke and then ate some mentos!!!
Thanks for emailing the video - if anyone else would like to email me a video of their science experiment that is fine.

Day 2 16/04 Message from Mrs Trembath
Please remember you do what you can manage in your whanau and home. The learning is flexible whether it is from The Kowhai Distance Learning Slides shared on this blog under Learning from Home or programmes on TV or something Mum and Dad are creating. Share with me when you have an opportunity to do so.
How to make a new file in your folders in your Drive and take a photo and insert it into the file.
Here is a little tutorial by me about making a new file in your Drive folders and how to take a photo of something you have made at home. This might be a way of sharing your learning and keeping it in your drive so that you can see it later. It is also showing you how to share the file with me.
Have a go and see what new skills you can learn over the next couple of weeks.

Happy Easter Room 11 whatever you get up to! This is a little bit of what I have been up to!
It was my youngest son's birthday on Thursday - a birthday in lockdown - had to get creative with scavenger hunts, lego masters, a family singalong on skype...

Congratulations William Trophy Facebook Challenge Winner for yesterday!!
Are you checking out Ms Driver's challenges every morning and listening to the teachers reading stories from their living rooms??
Just right for relaxing to - listen to them every day these holidays! Even if you do not have an account on Facebook you can still listen to the stories as our school page is public.
Here are a couple of posts from R11 children - sorry I know there are more! It is hard to keep up - argh!

Watch My story about Dinosaurs and Diggers on Facebook today on the Sunnyhills page!
Can you draw a picture of a dinosaur or giant squid or ANYTHING GIANT on your school drive in google draw and share it with me? I would love to see them and post them on the blog for our class to see.
Or do you even have any fossils you have collected sitting on a shelf somewhere?

Watch out - it's April Fools Day! Make a mystery smoothie!
Kia ora Room 11 GEMS
We have been making mystery smoothies in our family and today it is Joe's turn! I'm a bit worried about what I'm going to be drinking soon! No one is allowed in the kitchen right now except for Joe!
What do you think he might put in? What would you do?
Would it be YUM or YUCK?
Send me a picture of a drink you like to make at home and I'll post it on the blog for others to guess.
Or leave me a comment with a mystery ingredient idea below:
